The little brass doorknob spun rapidy and the door slashed open as Skye came in, almost laughing. The door shut firmly behind her as she pulled bright colors out from her school bag, unwrapping furiously. a purple ribbon swished from Sky'es hand as she threw it around the furnature, adding to the already overly stimulation colors in the room. Dashes of blue filled the air, and pink streamers clumg to the walls. In a small bag titled Fries was a bulky object. She pulled it out and cut through the red tape with scizzors from her ketchen cupboard. A little light, complete with glass additives to change its color, accompanied the disco ball in the bedroom.
Flashing lights were balanced on the roof and walls, along with a strobe light in every room. The bathtub was filled to the brim with tiny balloons and noise-makers of all types. Skye pulled the chairs to the side of the living room swiftly and rolled up the rugs unevenly, forgetting the concept of being careful.She didn't care. She hung sheets and blankets over all of the windows not to let the teachers catch onto the existance of the party. Her red hair was pulled up into the grasp of her hands ans she isolated part of the sides and colored them with black and crimson streaks. She combed it back quickly into a ponytail for it to dry without disturbance.
She scurried back into the ketchen and pulled out bowls and plates of all colors, adding a stack of paper plates and a pile of plastic sporks on the counter. She ripped open the bags of chips, salt and pepper, nacho cheese, and many others, and poured them into individual bowls. A huge pack of soda was plopped down beside the chips, Pepsi, Rootbeer, Sierra mists, Cokes, and Hansons. Skye put a large chocolate cake on the small fold out table she had aquired, along with both chocolate and vanilla cupcakes frosted with the number 666 on the vanilla, and little white skulls on the vanilla.
Skye pulled out a little fruit bowl and placed it next to the cupcakes, just for the chocolate fountain! It took a couple minutes to put it together, but the little fountain has three levels in it, drizzling chocolate bubbling out from the top when she plugged it into the wall. Finally, Skye opened a little envelope, affirming that there was nothing in it but a few coins and an expired check. "She looked at the front once more, whispering to herself the number on it. She dialed it on her cell phone. It rang. A man's voice answered with a low, "Hello." Skye smiled. "Hey dad! Thanks so much for the money you sent. Obviously, I blew it all out already for party supplies. No...What? Oh, yeah. I don't feel one bit guilty. You wouldn't have snet it if you didn't want me to throw some enormous party, right? Well, dad, I have to go. My friends might be here soon. Love you too. Bye!"
Skye relaxed for a moment and flopped aimlessly onto her little crimson sofa. Everything was perfect. Now, someone should show up already!

Silver knocked tentatively on the door. She had been invited to a random party, for a random girl who had sent her a random invitation. It was a bit too random for her too handle, so her brother was with her, just walking her to the door. She really wished he would leave, because, truth be told, having a telepathic older, taller, good-looking brother was not all it was cracked up to be. Who's party is it? asked Link, looking at the door. Did you finally make a friend? Is this where she lives? How old is she? Is she good looking? Is she single? Silver punched her brother none too gently. Like anyone would date you. You're hideous. Nice to know that I can always rely on you to boost my ego, Link muttered, then ringing the doorbell, in case the girl hadn't heard Silver's knock. Besides, I have the face of Hugh Jackman! Who wouldn't love me? Me. replied Silver shortly, waiting for someone to answer the door. Answer quick, and then shove my brother out a window or something,

Carlisle was nervous as ever, and yet it didn't show on his face; well, other then his metallic, silver eyes that inevitably screamed it, but hey, other then that. . .
Carlisle had made it to the girls' hallway with several nervous look over his shoulder- wasn't this against about a million rules? He typically made a habit of memorizing, then enforcing the rules and yet he knew none here. For now that was okay with him.
Carlisle wasn't sure what he was supposed to wear to this sort of thing. It was just a casual party, right? Not like a formal, ballroom thing, so a tuxedo would stand out. At least that's what he convinced himself when he pushed it aside and grabbed for a clean t-shirt. It ended up being a yellow t-shirt with a 'Fox' motorcycling logo. To go with it, he wore simple jeans and his shoes didn't change from what he always wore. His socks were concealed though they were plain, white socks. Fairly insignificant, really.
Carlisle spent so much looking behind him that he blinked as he suddenly realized someone was already at his destination. He kept hoping he was wrong, hoping that maybe it was some sort of fluke. - Nope. Eighty-two, this meant eighty-three. Carlisle was silent as he stood behind the male and female at the door. He felt odd about accepting the invitation from the stranger to begin with, yet he wondered how else he'd get to know people, so he kept his mouth shut and decided to just go with it.

A small bell chimes through the house, and voices murmered on the other side of the little wooden door. She couldn't help but feel anxious to see who would come. Skye had simply told a friend to hand them out to whoever. She calmed herself, pleased that she might possibly make some new friends. Her other best friend had just left the school a little while ago. Skye scurried to the door and flipped the switch on the lights, turning everything on. The room lit up like never before. Skye would have stood and stared for another few moments if she hadn't remembered that all she was doing was getting the door. It seemed so much more meaningful and interesting than it really was. One side of her spoke against the other. They are new, probably amazing people that might someday change you life! This door is the only thing between me and some new friends! Her other half spoke like a true pessimist, being severaly minimal and simple with her thoughts. Just open the damn door, Skye. She went with her simplistic side, like nearly always. She spun the little handle like she had when she first had come into her room, and it opened. Seeing the new faces brought out the first side of her mind's little argument. These people looked very nice and welcoming. She reflected on what they seemed to convey. "Welcome in, everyone! Hi! Um, Silver and Link, right? And , uh, Carlisle." She paused, almost embarrased to continue with her sentence. "So, sorry. You must be a little confused. My friend kinda stole the invitations from my school bag when I was walking back here from the library. She slipped them under everyone's doors just to be funny, I'm assuming. Well come one in!" She beckoned for them to enter with her right hand extended to the room, and let them all walk in. "Feel free to look around, be a mooch and stuff. Its a party, so ya don't have to ask permission to get a glass of water or use the restroom. Just go. In fact, if you feel like pulling the matresses off of the beds and sliding them around the house, be my guest. I don't care!" Trying to set a simple example, she grabbed a handfull of Doritos and shoved them into her mouth. The new faces made her smile. It had been a while since Skye had gotten new friends.

The door opened, and Link immediately put on the charm as he was beckoned in to the room. Hey, I'm Link, he said, extending his hand. Solstice's resident mind-reader, clarevoyant and best looking guy around! he flashed a cheesy smile as he did this. How old are you? Silver stepped on his foot none-too-discreetely, so Link collapsed to the floor in pain. Eh, ignore him. He is a huge pain, and will probably be bugging you the whole time we're here. I'm Silver, his sister. Sadly. she looked over at Carlisle. Hey, who're you? What's your power? Don't listen to her! Link gasped from the floor. She's insane! Anyways, how'ya doin'? What are you asking for your b-day? I'll have to get a present later. he winked. Silver sighed. Link will be Link. Sorry,

KINIA ZWAVARSKI !! It was brilliant. Amazing. Beyond brilliantly amazingly cool! She'd been invited to a party! It was so fantastic! She'd never been invited to a party before. Kinis couldn't help dancing up the stairs, clapping her hands on each alternate step. She felt like whooping to the heavens. Maybe this was her chance to get some more friends! She liked friends. They made her feel good. They made her forget to miss her mother, and her home in Poland. They distracted her from thinking of her sisters, and little niece and nephew. Kinia searched along the corridor for thr correct room, her blonde curls flying out behind her with her bubbly, quick movements. She darted this way and that, giggling under her breath. Finally she spotted the right number and, stifling a squeal of excitement, padded forward to knock. She knocked her special way - two soft knocks, then two loud, powerful knocks. She then waited, her hands holding the ruffled rim of the dress she had worn. Her grin was huge on her face, at the prospect of fitting in at last.

{Gah, sorry. I had a busy weekend particularly, but Thursday and Friday didn't leave me much time, either. It's school registration and I had a narrative writing/biography kinda thing to do with my grandparents. Now that it's nearing the weekdays, I should have more time. Kinda counter intuitive there.}
Carlisle's face grew pink in surprise more then embarrassment as she said his name. Wait, she knew his name, and he didn't know hers? Wonderful.
Carlisle decided to avoid talking just yet if he didn't have to. As it turned out, once Link had addressed Skye, Silver'd turned her attention to Carlisle. Carlisle, shy as he was, was not impolite and if addressed he'd speak, maybe it'd be softly but hey, it was talking. He was preparing to answer, weighing the possibilities of telling her his power when Link interrupted. Blinking, Carlisle's attention went to the floor. A smile of amusement played at his lips. Of all the people to talk, it was the one on the floor interrupting. Somehow . . .that just didn't seem to hold much authority. With that established, he looked back at Silver with the smile still at his lips.
"Carlisle. I, um,"Carlisle hadn't given it much thought. What was his power in simplest terms? He didn't want to waste her time or use fifty words to say what he could in two, but it wasn't as simple as 'I turn invisible'. Nor was it as simple as 'I draw'. So what if he drew? The simple answer came to him. To avoid the awkward moment, he answered smoothly."It's a little hard to explain, but I'll show you sometime."
Now all he had to worry about was it not being disappointing when he did show her. Hopefully she wouldn't take him too seriously or think he was egotistical. But if she did, Carlisle couldn't change it. The knock at the door made Carlisle shift his attention again. Despite Skye's attempt to make him feel comfortable and at home, he was not going to get so comfortable as to open the door and invite Skye's guests in when she was so close to the door herself. On the other hand, Carlisle was also very very unlikely to stuff Doritos into his mouth or move her mattress, either.

Skye spun around as she heard Link's distinct voice sound around the room, before a huge thump shook the floor. By the time Skye had seen them, Link had already fallen. She tilted her head to the side and watched the two in confusion. "Um, I'm Fifte--" She began. by that time, though, Silver had already began speaking by the time Skye tried to say anything. Instead she watched for a moment, remembering the old days with her family. yep. Silver and Link were just like Skye and her brother Jasper when they were little, exept that Skye was always the one who would fall on the floor in the end. Two quiet knocks sounded at the doorway, then two that were very loud and were heard all around the room. He truned her body on swiveled feet to face it, and opened it. Another figure stood at the door, with bright eyes and blonde curls. Skye listened for a moment. Whispers of noise radiated from her body, all souning like exitement. The murmering got louder and more distinguishable as Skye listened and concentrated harder. Skye heard words now, everything that Kinia was thinking. She wanted friends here, and was exited to finally fit in; that is what Skye gathered about her mood. Her focus strayed. The words faded into murmers once more. She smiled. All of theat had, luckily happened in a matter of seconds. Skye wouldn't have to be rude and leave her waiting at the door. "Hello, come in, come in! I'm Skye, and, uh, this is my place. Feel free top do whatever you like. Don't be shy! Skye looked over to Silver who asked openly what everyone's power was. Oh me? I hear murmers, and when I focus, they become full words of other people's thoughts. But don't worry about me. I think my power is bad and try not to use t much, unless I know it won't hurt anyone. Ya know? How about you, Kinia? She looked around again to see Carlisle, looking rather confused. She leaned over to him and smiled. "Please, don't be shy. Its a party Carlisle!" She laughed a little, then noticing that he must not know everyone very well. Here. I'm Skye Peters, and um, the being spazzy on the floor is Link Arcadia, and the one kleeping him there is obviously his sister, Silver arcadia. this here, who just entered the door is Kinia...god only knows how to pronounce her last name! She laughed again and looked back to Kinia. Sorry, what's your last name? Skye couldn't mind read for names, at least not yet.
