J o s h He laughed with her, watching as she pointed. Nope. Try again, he picked her hand up and turned, pointing it down the street. Don't worry, though. You were close. He readjusted her on his back before walking that way. Huh. Didn't know I looked that good. That's definitely an ego boost. Just so you know, though, you're very pretty, too. He chuckled and leaned down, pulling her around to the front of his body where he kissed her and placed her on her feet. We're here. He stated easily, turning her toward the store so she didn't accidentally walk into the street. He wondered if she'd get annoyed with him babying her.

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... Tsunami didn't think it was babying. Compared to her parents, he was just being a good citizen. Now that was babying. It might annoy her later, but for now she was just having a good time, enjoying all the attention. Her face heated up again when he said that she herself was very pretty. He was definitely buttering her up and she was falling for it big time. In response she had nuzzled his hair (he smelled wonderful), giving herself something to concentrate on until he moved her again (with a kiss! she loved that). With him there, she didn't have to extend her staff again once on her feet, so she walked in the direction he pointed her, going inside. There was a greeter that recognized Tsunami and led them to a booth near the back, giving them menus. Hers was in braille so she could read easily. The last time she had been there, she complained instead of asking the waiter to read out the entire menu to her until she figured out what she wanted. "This place has good food and the burgers are perfect."

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... "Well that makes it easy. I haven't tried anything disgusting just yet," she grinned and moved her fingers over the seemingly blank menu until she figured out what she was going to order for both of them. She would keep it simple so that she wouldn't look ridiculous trying to eat and he could have one of her favorite meals from there. When the waiter came over, he took out his little pad and asked for their order. She heard him step up and move around so she knew to be ready anyway. "We'll have the gyros with the cucumber sauce on the side for me and some steak fries, no sauce for me. And can I just have a glass of water? Um, what about you, Jake?" She asked, wanting to make sure that he got what he wanted too.

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... Once the waiter took their menus and left, Tsunami reached up and took off her glasses, slipping them into her bag. He said that he liked her eyes so she would let him see them. It was a little unnerving for her to look up in his general direction, so used to hiding what usually scared people away. "I'm sure you'll love the burger. I've had it several times now," she said softly, trying to pick up the conversation again. She rested her hands on the table, finding herself rather nervous. For the first time she had a hot guy talking to her, whose kisses were amazing. Now she also was wishing the table wasn't between them just so she could feel his lips on hers again. But then they would never actually talk, which would probably be a problem eventually. It was enough to make her laugh in her mind.

J o s h He handed his menu back to the waiter, noticing at that moment the differences in menus. He was surprised when her glasses were slipped off, but he wasn't the least bit scared or even fended off by them. He leaned more forward to look into them, mesmerized by their color. They were so pretty to him. Ah, I bet I will, he grinned, one of his hands reaching into hers and giving a squeeze. I'm not much of a person that eats out, he told her straightforward. But his tone was casual. No point in making him seem like an idiot; that would be bad. He was doing his best to be honest and impress her. So, you enjoy food? he laughed at his mistake, shaking his head. I meant what kind of food do you like?

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... Her nerves slowly started to ease away when he took her hand, making her smile softly. Her eyes lowered slightly, a habit she had instead of looking up over someone's head or trying to figure out where they were exactly. "Really? It's actually easier for me to eat out. Just because, well, I can't exactly cook unless things are premade." That was always a slight downer for her. She would love to learn how to cook, but her parents would never teach her because of her lack of sight, and now she lives at Solstice, where, once again, the cafeteria staff does all the work for her. A slightly disappointing life.
His mistake made her laugh a little herself, once again trying to get over the negative. A daily battle. "What do I like? I like trying anything new, but my favorite is Chicken Parmesan. Especially when paired with pasta. What about you?"

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... She giggled about the hoagies, nodding her head slightly when the waiter brought them their water. It took some gentle patting around but she was able to take hold of her glass and take a few sips. She raised an eyebrow slightly when she felt him let go of her hand, so she just pulled hers back, inwardly confused. Did he see someone he knew? Is he embarrassed after all? The thought came without warning and she was hesitant before continuing on speaking, trying to ignore it. Could be making a big deal out of nothing. "I actually haven't had a hoagy before. You'll have to make one for me one day."

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... "I'll have to remember to do just that," she smiled before leaning back a little to put her napkin on her lap. Some things she couldn't help but forget from home. The one thing that she loved so much about gyros was that there wasn't much of an etiquette for eating them. She could use her fork, but the best way was to take her hand and stuff the pita with the strips of meat, then spooning the cucumber sauce on top before taking a bite. It seemed messy, but she didn't mind. Rather hard to care about what you looked like while eating when you can't see. Either way, she was still rather neat about it.
When asked about her powers, she "looked" up, slowly licking her lips in thought, and to get the cucumber sauce that was there. "I could show you some. I'd have to concentrate rather hard for it. Just comes easier when I'm emotional. And more out of my control." She smiled a little before taking another bite. If she had known how intensely he was looking at her eyes, then a fog would have started to form to hide her in her shyness. It was why she wore glasses so much.

Sight is overrated.......enjoy it while you have the chance... Well Tsunami wasn't a normal blind person. When your parents had been so disappointed in having a blind daughter, and then tried to shelter her heavily, too afraid of her being hurt from the harsh world, then you got Nami, who tried her hardest to rise above. Once her powers surfaced, it was basically downhill from there. She had to do everything on her own, until her parents thought it was better for her to go to Solstice.
As he spoke of his power a little more, she was listening intensively. Compared to hers, she thought his was much easier to live with. Without knowing, the next bite of her gyro left a bit of sauce on the corner of her mouth where she didn't notice. Against her dark skin, it was not hard to miss. "I like yours. It's useful whereas mine is just a bit...of a hindrance. I mean, it's a little hard to win an argument when your anger causes the room to light up like the fourth of July," she smiled, sitting back in her seat. She was almost full, but she wanted to get a small dessert to take home.

J o s h But i bet you could just zap them and BAM! no more argument. He laughed, finishing up his meal as he stared at her eyes again. He wished he were closer to her. So, what are your hobbies or interests or something? he was being a bit laid-back, honestly interested, though he was trying to act like he wasn't. He was glad she couldn't see the terrible look on his face, almost disgusted at himself. He was so nervous in impressing her, but he kept sounding stupid and he didn't like it. Uh, I'll be right back. I'm going to the bathroom, he stood, glad he had the excuse to pass her. He lifted her chin and pressed his lips against hers before walking a few steps and stopping and leaning against a wall, attempting to calculate an appropriate time before he walked back and kissed her again. He enjoyed he excuse to kiss her.
