MY MINDinsideOUT
Kinia is the sort of person who would bounce up to you in a corridor, smile at you and have your full attention right away. She is not exactly a quiet person. She seems to exude glee and joy so that it is impossible to miss her. She does everything startlingly quickly. She finds it almost impossible to walk anywhere. Kinia is very outgoing, and loves to talk to everybody. She is not arrogant ir obnoxious, but just likes to have a lot of friends. Her joyous personality seems to be infectious. Kinia likes to understand things thoroughly, so if somebody says something she doesn't understand, she will question them until she is sure what they mean. Kinia is a little slow, despite her hyperactive outside. She takes a while to grasp that somebody doesn't want her around, or somebody is talking to her. She has a knack of sweet talking her way out of trouble, and all her friends, too. It's her eyes that do it. She can put on the most sorrowful expression, that would make the very toughest man break down.
Kinia can be a little selfish at times. She sometimes does things without thinking of how it might effect other people. But she usually backtracks and repairs things, or at least apologies multiple times until the mistake has disappeared or is repaired. She is quite an independent person at heart, and doesn't like to ask for help. She usually leaves it so long that her sensitivuty kicks in and she is sobbing, before she will eventually admit she needs aid. Kinia is also embarrased very easily. If a boy she has a crush on walks past, her face will turn fiery red and she will stutter her words. If all the attention is focused on her (as it unfortunately often is) she will do the same. She doesn't like speaking in front of people, or standing up in front of an audience. Kinia is a very fun-loving person, as long as she is not up on a stage. She loves to mess around with her friends, and once she get's a new idea, she won't let it drop. She is very loving towards those she is close to, but she always shy around the opposite gender (before she get's to know them.) Kinia does not have much of a temper, but she can be a little spitfire at times. So try not to get her too narked.
MY POWERinmyVEINS
Kinia's power is not a very spectacular thing. In fact, it was not discovered until she was nine years old, not something that just came to her in a flash. Her power is nothing dangerous, but quite a perky little thing that does help her hide when she doesn't want to be seen. You know you see posters on walls? Photographs, drawings? Kinia sees them too, just like everybody else. But she can enter them. She can slide under the frame and become part of the picture. But there are a few more aspects to it. It is not as simple as that. For example, if she happens to enter a photograph of her mother and sisters, hand in hand, she might simply be on the end of the line, holding a spare hand and grinning. Exactly how she was, wearing the same clothes, hair the same, everything. But other things are different. If she enters the stick-drawing of a four-year-old, she would become a stick figure. Simple stick body, stick arms, stick legs. Line of yellow hair. Blue dots for eyes and a wobbly red line for a smiley mouth. If she enters a poster, for example, advertising a new Manga television series, she could be part of the poster, running from an explosion, clutching the arm of the hero, brandishing a shotgun. But she would have the pointed face, curled lemon yellow hair and huge eyes of a Manga character.
The other thing about her power is that she cannot enter the same picture twice, except for one. This is a photograph of her mother, with her oldest sister Danuta, as a toddler, and her other older sister Cecylia as a newborn baby. This was the first picture Kinia entered, and the only one she can enter over and over again. Also, Kinia cannot move inside photographs, drawings, etc. She is frozen inside the frame until she chooses to leave.
MY LOOKSforyouTOsee!
Kinia is the sort of girl that guys watch, the idiot guys who care only about looks. She has a pretty face for one so young, with a defined chin and high cheekbones. Her whole face is a cream colour, rather than being very pale or very tanned. She never wears make-up, having been brought up without such things. She believes that people should embrace their natural image (though some might say it's easy for her to say such things.) Kinia has a pointed nose and thin, pink lips that seem the perfect size and proportion for the rest of her face. Her eyes are large and framed by very thick, dark lashes. Her irises are very dark, a dusky brown sort of hue. The pupils are round and glossy black. Kinia's hair just reaches her shoulders. It is a curly bird's nest, and very blonde. She rarely bothers to style it very carefully, though it doesn't seem to look particularly messy a lot of the time. If she can't be bothered with it, she leaves it hanging, or ties it up in a sloppy bun. Sometimes, mainly on special occasions, she will iron it straight and style it carefully - but not often.
Kinia's wardrobe is split into two - casual, and days out. The casual side is quite disorganized. The top, the actual part in which clothes hang, is a mess of jeans and dress-tops. She has a variety of jeans, all blue, from very pale azure to the darkest midnight sky. Her dress-tops are thin and usually printed brightly. She also has a cluster of woolen cardies she wears in the winter, and a snakey tangle of belts in various colours, shapes and styles. The bottom of the wardrobe is a sea of socks, tights and shoes; ballet pumps, sneakers, flip-flops, sandals, boots... Moving on to the formal side of her wardrobe. There is a huge assortment of dresses, most of them in startling bright hue's. Her favourite is a bright silver affair with square straps and a skirt that flings itself out as it reaches her hips. The bottom of this section of the wardrobe is a more organized selection of high-heels, sophisticated pumps and handbags.
MY PASTreadITandWEEP
Kinia was born in Poland to Ania Zwavarski, on February 4th. She was born with two older sisters, Cecylia and Danuta. Ania herself was not very old - thirty. She now had three children, the oldest twelve, the middle eight and a newborn baby. They did not have much money, so life was a struggle. But they made do. Kinia adored the toys the men in the village made her. She was popular with all as a young baby and toddler, due to her fair curls and huge eyes. Her sisters were always patient with her when their mother was too distressed about their situation to comfort her when she was crying. But things changed. Danuta was seventeen when she had her first child, a daughter named Masia. Things got worse. Money got less and less easy to get hold of. Cecylia took up a job as a maid in the house of a richer man. By this time, Kinia was five. The family clung on, scraping together what they needed each week.[/blockquote]
When Kinia was nine, she found a photograph of her mother, and two sisters, under the bed that she shared with Cecylia. She stared at it, tears blotting the image. She wished that things could be so joyous now. And suddenly, she was inside the photograph. She could see where she was, but she could not move. Just another figment of the image. And before she had had much time to think about it, Kinia was out again. In fear, she told her mother and sisters. They did not believe her. She kept on pressing them, and eventually Ania lost her rag. Things had, again, got worse. Danuta was having another baby, at twenty-one. Masia was only four, and still a liability. Kinia went to her teacher at school. The woman did not believe her at first, but Kinia managed to show her again what had happened. The teacher was shocked, but eventually agreed to help her.
She began to teach Kinia to speak English. It was a long process. Finally, when Kinia was thirteen, she told her about a school she had found, far away in America. It was for people with special abilities like her's. And she was prepared to pay for any expenses. Kinia was thrilled. Ania was quick to agree, glad that she would have to care for one less child. But she made her youngest daughter promise to write every week. And Kinia still does so.
